This Disability Law: Cases, Materials, Problems casebook is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of most of the major laws relating to individuals with disabilities. Included are selected cases, problems, questions, and statutory and regulatory references. The notes are designed to highlight additional cases of interest, while the problems are intended to provoke thought about unresolved and complex issues. These materials focus on issues of rights and nondiscrimination in the areas of employment, governmental programs and services, public accommodations by private providers, education, housing, and health care.

Disability Law: Cases, Materials, Problems reflects the dynamic nature of disability law with its inclusion and discussion of all relevant Supreme Court cases decided since the prior edition. As most of the judiciary's activity has focused on the Americans with Disabilities Act, so too does this edition. Despite the inclusion of all new Supreme Court cases addressing disability issues, the author has kept the length of this book manageable.

While the ADA receives substantial attention throughout, the text allows students to understand the interrelationship of other disability discrimination laws in areas of special education, housing, and air carrier access. And while most of the Court's recent ADA decisions have focused on employment issues, many significant developments have also occurred in areas of public accommodations and higher education.
